Christmas Season

Why is it that every Christmas season seems to just sneak up on me...no wonder there's the Christmas in July prep. Figures it'd sneak up on since I've never once participated in the July prep. As I say every December..."I'll be better prepared next year!"

My biggest let down this time of year is the anxiety of the pressure to just have presents...and spending of money that I'd rather save. My girls still enjoy the DSI's and have toys they still enjoy and we bought some fun games for the Wii throughout this year and we have the ipad that is a huge hit and used daily...we still enjoy these things we have and they are still NEW...so why buy more just to have more?? We're keeping it simple this year...and given that I started my shopping last week and mostly yesterday we're almost done. whew. My girls are pretty special though and are giddy about this year for the meaning and family and of course some new presents. This year for Christmas Mike's mom and nana are coming. We are surely in for a special treat....there is always joy in their food and presence! We love and miss them so this is going to be fun having them here!

Well, I didn't get any Christmas cards out this year. I am planning on a New Year card....of the girls in their Christmas pi's or in their church attire....well...loads of love to you all xoxoxoxo Merry Christmas
