October / November

It's hard to believe October has come and gone. I am trying to think of some highlights....the obvious ones are the birthdays for the month. Jaimie and Christie turned 10 and 3...then there are many other birthdays in the extended family...My dad, Larry, Megan, Nana Holly, Reilly, Connor, Carson...I am missing some I know...

Mike took the girls on a daddy daughter date to THE LION KING....he got a great discount thru NPR (National Public Radio) and he even got a great discount for tickets to Cirque du Soleil so he and I will go on a date soon!
Christie is scooting...it's a dead leg army crawl...sometimes she will use her legs to move but mostly she uses her arms...and it's pretty exciting...we take every improvement and milestone with gratitude!!! The middle of November we will go our last meeting with Child Find and 99% sure she'll be approved to start school.
Halloween was great...it went smooth and fast and wasn't so overwhelming for me. Girls snagged some generic general costumes at Target...Jaimie looked like a go go girl...50's type groovy dress; Kassidy was a British girl...looked like a 50's British girl...and Sydney wore a Princess and the Frog dress...Christie was a spider, Lexi an angel, Mike wore his bee outfit, and I was a farm girl....general clothes...freckles and a straw hat! lol! I neglected to get pictures...however Dave took some on his phone and I'll have him send them to me!
REALLY excited for the 18th of November....my family starts coming for an early Thanksgiving...pretty sure everyone will be here plus some!
Mike turns 36 on the 13th! We were just talking about a couple we know who is our same age...and yet we feel they seem much older than we are and yet they aren't so we're feeling really old! lol...
October was full of Soccer games every Thursday and our last game is today...so far we've only lost 1 game...and we are hoping to win tonights...either way it was super fun experience for the girls. Jaimie found her pain tolerance...lol...poor thing blocked several goals with her body...and that was pretty tough for her to take and yet she held out crying till we got in the car! She also was hit in the face with a ball...this is the natural way we like to toughen up the girls...it's made Mike pretty proud! lol!
Sydney does well at running after the ball...she's great at that! We watched her mostly be the cheerleader and look pretty on the field!
For never playing before, Kassidy did well herself! Mike was the coach of the team Kass and Jaimie were on. I got to be team mom for Sydney's all the girl's teams....that was pretty easy.
Well...I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving and the joy the season is...I am focusing on gratitude and am posting something daily on FB and will start here.
Today I am thankful for my body! specifically my hands!
Ta ta for now!
