Have Fun!!

oh the sweet things that little children do!!! Perhaps we can do them too! (Dr. Seuss rhyme time)

Lexi folds her arms now...and can mimic anything we do for the most part. The other day she spilled and went and found a towel and cleaned up her mess...she got on her hands and knees and just moved that towel around...she did a better job then my older children. lol! She is REALLY into markers...and it's great that she hasn't gotten to walls yet..but her body is her canvas! She's on the go...all the time. I started putting her tennis shoes on her and showed her that she CAN walk in them...we've been on many walks outside and she LOVES it! Coming back inside creates a meltdown!
Christie is really progressing. She giggles a lot...she scoots a lot. We've been noticing a crabbiness every morning...and even when she gets home from school...Mike in his wisdom researched Miralax and he felt that that is the cause of her crabbiness. He went to the health food store and bought some all natural digestive products and we've been giving them to her and eliminating the miralax. It's working. She had one bad day where she was pooping but it was a tiny bit backed up...but by the next day...all flowed and it was like she was a normal little pooper! This may seem gross to some but it's consistency was normal...she's always had a more diarrhea type poo but not diarrhea...so I am really impressed with the natural products and she's not upset as often as she used to be since being on the products. Christie is on her 3rd month of preK...special needs class and her pt therapist tells me often how easy she is to work with and how much great she is improving in the short of time she's been working with Christie! YEAH!!
Sydney is doing really well at learning to read...sounding out letters...creating the words...she gets so giddy! She really misses her bff Molly in VA. It's such a dramatic change for us to be here and I am barely feeling confident letting them go outside to play without me being there every second. I just don't feel drivers are safe ... given it a neighborhood with lots of children they zoom and it's just too scary. Sydney still remains my sweet tooth child. She wakes up asking for a popsicle. She knows this mama is not going to let her...but she asks anyway...drives me nuts...and whenever I do not let her do what she is wanting or suggest a different idea "I'm mean!" She really thrives when I focus my attention on her and her needs and give her the same respect I want from her...so we are both really working on doing better...our mommy daughter relationship is improving! She turns 6 on the 28th and lets me know every night that it is taking way too long for her birthday to get here!
Kassidy is a very easy child....she has her moments but her and Jaimie are really super helpers. There is a little 6 year old two houses down from us named Ashley and she just loves Kassidy. Ashley is such an adorable little plump girl...she is the same age as Sydney yet she's as tall as Kassidy and bigger than Jaimie, who is almost 11! Sydney told her one day that she's not her friend because she's bigger...sydney doesn't get that she's her same age...lol! Anyway we adore having Ashley over...she's an only child and really gets super sad when I tell her the Kassidy can't play. Kassidy gets good grades without really applying herself...so I know when she catches on about the beauty of really applying yourself to a task at hand and her work she'll soar!!! She and Jaimie every Friday like to be driven to school so they can be a part of the walk club! Kassidy will be 9 early April!
Jaimie is a star student...she hates to miss a day of school and was just so mad when she got sick! Jaimie is a great church student too...she loves going to church and just adores her teacher and learning about the gospel! She recently had her first babysitting job and earned $20! She did such a good job. Given that she was asked to sit 4 boys from 6pm to 11pm....and I have never even had her babysit for me for longer than an hour I went and helped....it was so neat to see how she interacted with the boys and she was cool and collected...unlike her mom...I am more of a drill sergeant and well I just backed off and let her take the lead and it was wonderful! We had her and Kassidy sit the kids the next night so Mike and I could attend a meeting...we were gone 4 hours and we checked in often and it was an amazing success! It won't be something we do again...because I don't feel she should have that responsibility yet...perhaps in a year and a half...when she is 12!
Mike loves his job and now he and Jeff the owner have a time slot on an AM radio station called WHAT'S BUGGIN YA? And it's been fun to go online and listen live! Little superstars. He took Kassidy one day to go with him on a Black Light service to catch scorpions...pretty freaky...they caught over 30...I'll post the picture! Mike and I are also doing well as Independent Distributors for LifeVantage and we are enjoying the bond and closeness this adventure is creating for us and we are making great friends and our personal growth is limitless...I like the me that is coming out...I find I am doing better at setting goals...not just for the business part but spiritually and physically! I'm on my second week now of working out and paying attention to what I eat so that I see a weight loss...and just in working out alone my desire to eat better is improving. I don't eat bad...but after I spent one whole day documenting what I ate and it's calories I realized that I don't eat enough actually. I have a goal that every week I follow my workout plan...and then the weekends I have off but I did a small 20 minute workout on Saturday plus ab jam...and that is about 30 minutes long and well worth the time and makes for a productive Saturday so I am going to stick to that routine...and my eating...I can choose one day a week where I can eat whatever I want. I didn't like how I felt on my off day when I ate some not so great food...I had gas and tummy ache...so not fun....I think I'll stick to enjoying a cheeseburger next time instead of a donut and then still stick to nothing past 6 except water and a stick of gum! Oh my, I got off track talking about me...Mike has been planning with a buddy about hiking the Grand Canyon...we'll see if it happens next month...scheduling conflicts...I hope it can...he loves his buddy and the could use a getaway!
April has loads in store for us....we have General Conference and LifeVantage Conference. We are going to Utah April 14-16 for LifeVantage...so I am super giddy about that. I can't wait to see a sweet friend I met in San Diego for Elite Academy...Ann from Louisiana! She's a soul sister! I also got to meet the COO of LifeVantage and got my picture with him and am going to start getting my picture with all the inspirational people I meet. So far I've a picture with Kirby (COO) Eric (Pro 8 distributor/ leader/mentor) and Jack (Pro 4...95 yr. old distributor)...I'll post those pics as soon as Mike helps me on those...somehow it's not converting easily when downloaded from his phone...
I also will turn 36 this April...not too long ago I would tell you I definitely feel every bit of my age if not older....2010 was rough on me...or I was rough on it...either way...my body was out of wack and so was my spirit!! I am now feeling like 20....and once I can get my hair done I may start looking closer to 20! lol
Well I am gonna jet...I have to get my workout in early or it just gets harder to fit it in as the day goes on! xoxoxo
Here's to 2011...the year of possibilities! xoxoxo
