UPDATE

LOTS has happened to this family since my last post!

For starters....Lexi is sitting up like a pro and she's a fast inch worm...scooter...making her way to where she wants to go! She's a babbler and can say mama...she's pretty strong too...she can pick up some heavy toys. She recently recovered from Roseola...she had a fever for several days then broke out in a rash that lasted several days as well.
Kassidy was baptized with her cousins on July 31st...same day as our wedding anniversary...we've been married for 11 years now! Pictures to come of the baptism soon! We drove to Mesa for the baptism and Christie doesn't travel well...she had a fever the whole weekend...then on the way home Monday is when Lexi got sick...she vomited in her carseat...in Mesa she had a blowout in her carseat so we had to clean that thing twice. I also had to clean Christie's since she had a blowout on the way home too...so poop and vomit that weekend...but Kassidy's baptism still outshined it all!!!
On Friday the 6th our home was broken into and that was a pretty scary thing to go thru. I rarely leave our house so to only be gone for 2 hrs and come home to my door unlocked the back door opened and the kitchen window broken scared me to pieces...I had no idea if someone was still inside either so 911 right away....they came and we stayed at our next door neighbor's home ... come to find out they stole 2 of Mike's guns, our IPAD, IPHONE, IPOD and knives...anyway...we have serial numbers for them and so far cops recovered the IPAD ...it was pawned so we have the culprits on video...one of the kids was out front when I drove home and was knocking on peoples doors supposedly as a salesman for BIG O!?!? anyway cops talked to him and all too...crazy...come to find out he has a record and was probable the look out guy. So random and freaky that our home was chosen...in the middle of day too... I left at 10:45ish am and came home about 12:45pm...I must have come home in the midst of it since they didn't even take DSi's and an IPOD Touch that were in plain view on the couch and kitchen table...even had some blank signed checks on the fridge...(Mike just informed my the cops have made an arrest...we'll see how that goes...) anyway...that's what's been happening within our lives as of late. Uncle Dave moved in this past weekend and he just flew back to VA today and will move back here when our home sells in VA (under contract right now so should be complete soon)! Well, life is settling in for us...Dave and Mike made a huge dent in unpacking the garage and we made two trips to DI (donations) and even hung up pictures!!
One good thing that's come out of the robbery is learning the ropes from the Crime specialists on how to make your home a deterrent for breaking into...one thing was to get lighting that would make it hard to unscrew a bulb ..so a full encased lamp...and also get motion detecting lights; security screen door; and there are these protective glass screen things like saran wrap for a glass door and window that when they throw a rock or what not to break in the glass will shatter but the window or glass door won't fall in...interesting...and surveillance camera's (we bought a good one thru Costco on sell....8 camera's and on up to 16...so super great deal! Also the crime specialists indicated thorny or prickly shrubbery around the fence...Another thing they mentioned about security system is that they cops don't respond to them because 99% of them are false alarms...so unless they are monitored and they verify it's a burglary then a unit will respond but most likely that is too late...so they recommend buying one outright yourself...installing it and having a blaring sound does the job....and getting to know your neighbors and looking out for one another! Whew...lots to do but it's important....and moreso now since we've been victims...in full daylight no less...super sad that these kids are wasting their lives...and that they feel they have to resort to stealing!?!!?!?! GUNS no less...that's what bugs me.
Well....girls are registered for school and they start the end of the month! Uniforms are required here...good for my budget but they are bummed...."but mom, what if someone bought a really nice shirt they want to show their friends?".....oh well!!!!
I am just so thankful for all that we have...safety foremost and our health...Faith has gotten us thru the rough patches...my children have faith as do Mike and I that the Lord will protect us from harm and while we sleep HIS guardian angels stand guard at every entrance and window to our home!!!
oh and Christie's therapists here are amazing...she's really progressing having an OT here that has given me lots of different ideas from our VA OT and she gets PT and Speech as well as an Educator...and she'll start going to school here in October!!
Well, lots to do today so I best move on...xoxoxoxo

Wow those are some crazy times! Awesome about the baptism. Glad you weren't home when they decided to break in.

I'm so glad you guys weren't home when they came, that would've been even scarier!
