THE MOVE

I can't believe I've taken so long to write...we are finally in Vegas...I thought the day would never come now we've been here almost 2 weeks and it feels like we've been here longer.

I love our home...it's huge! The girls are really missing their friends though. They only have each other right now and they grate on each other at times (normal sibling behavior).

Our drive went smooth and it was wonderful seeing the Smiths, Dettman's, Brady's and Farr's! Thanks for housing us sweetie's!!!

We had lots of fun along the drive...we stopped to see the Air Force museum in Dayton, OH. Seeing the nuclear weapons Mike worked on when he served was awesome! We also got to stop at the Indy 500 place for Mike...too bad he wasn't able to kiss the bricks but someday! Christie had a major blowout there so I tossed her clothing and we moved on! I got to see the ARCH in St. Louis...and the temple there was beautiful! Saw the Smiths then and stayed the night...left and drove the 12-14 hr trip to Pueblo,CO to stay with our family from a diff DNA the Brady's...luv luv luv them!! Then we headed to Albq. NM...stayed with Aunt Jewell...we chilled a whole day there and enjoyed being able to catch up! We left from there to make the last leg to our new home..on the way Mike made a side of the road pit stop to take a leak and ended up dumping on the side of the road...I know I am going to get in trouble for this...not from Mike...but man was that hilarious...he was waving at people and stuff. We met up with Zeke who drove the semi with all our belongings in Flagstaff and then to home we continued. We made it in great time...however, just 1 mile before home we were rear ended...no damage to our vehicle...wasn't a bad bump but it sure did make a dent to the other dude's car! Anyway, friends and ward members came and helped move in and the semi was unloaded before dark! I am still unpacking...not easy with just me and the girls...Mike went right back to work with just a few days to recoup from driving and unloading...he got a few war wounds from the unloading. Anyway...Pool is up and running...it was green when we got here so Mike drained it...we cleaned it and refilled it! We have fun with it! We've enjoyed a walk to Sonic for a ice cream treat and there is an ice cream truck that drives around...girls already flagged that down...and Mike got his grill so now we enjoy turning that bad boy on and well, that's that...at least for now...I am so forgetting a few things but I will post more later...I am off to bed...super tired!
