LIFE W/O HUBBY - DAY 8

Today has been a very productive day! I sigh a good sigh of accomplishment and good company as I reflect my day.

I woke early to happy babies...I got Lexi back to sleep and then Christie and I had breakfast and did a small yoga workout! My house needed some serious TLC...I did a little and then Lexi needed me...so then I fed her and Sydney woke...got her fed and then Paula Franklin called to tell me she is on her way bringing my girls home. She came close to 11am and stayed till like 7pm...and it was wonderful...you know those type of visits where you get to talk and your visit is such that I got a lot of cleaning done and it didn't feel like work...and I made banana bread and got the beef stew in the crockpot and all that JAZZ ... and we ate dinner and it all just was GREAT!
I then got a call from Nicole...love ya sister...and she filled me in on stuff and we got to talking about being our best....and how we when give less than our best it is a disturbance to our minds and a thief of our happiness. I got that great piece and much more from smokinhotmamaclub...HERE is the link. Then Nicole wanted me to call and tell Tiff what she told me...and Tiff shared the most amazing quote from N. Eldon Tanner and HERE is the article where the quote came from and the quote is this:
A mother has far greater influence on her children than anyone else, and she must realize that every word she speaks, every act, every response, her attitude, even her appearance and manner of dress affect the lives of her children and the whole family. It is while the child is in the home that he gains from his mother the attitudes, hopes, and beliefs that will determine the kind of life he will live and the contribution he will make to society.
What a great quote.
I am just so thankful for my role as a mother and am even more committed to being my BEST self...it affects the lives of those I care about and the rewards of putting my BEST self forward will be more than I can imagine!!!
Paula is going to do our taxes for us! Thanks...
Girls have no school tomorrow...I think they'll go Wednesday though...yippee...life back on track...
Mike didn't seem himself today...I know he's sick...and he's got a pest control test coming up so prayers on his behalf will be appreciated. I love and miss you sweetie.
Well...I have a crying baby...and one more day down is another closer day to being with MIKE!!!
