Conference Weekend

I got a spur in my pants and on the 1st of April cancelled cable.  I truly dislike the company we have cable with...anyway...didn't realize that it'd been great to wait till after the weekend...oh well...I'll read it later...so given that this weekend had nothing to do with conference for me I did however have a super fun time with the fam!  Saturday was a gorgeous day we were outside...we meaning the kids mostly...I did go push them in the hammock and that was fun...later on we went to NATHANS...it's a little mom and pop ice cream place...we had freebie tickets for free menu items...so we went all out...turtle sundae, fudge cake sundae, banana split, and a few more items...cost us $1.32!! SCORE...I felt super icky afterward...I felt like I was gonna split!  lol!  anyway we came home chilled and girls watched BOLT and Mike and I watched Seven Pounds...and I only cried a little!  I cried more watching Marley and Me.  

Today is even nicer than yesterday...we went on a picnic at a nearby park and came home and let the girls slip n slide...we'll watch the movie Bedtime Stories later on!  

I sure do love blogging and facebookin...I am not into Twitter...seemed like just another thing to occupy my time...but we'll see...most of the little freebie giveaway things give you xtra entries if you are on Twitter!  

I am just happy...today has been enjoyable...I laughed like crazy online chatting with Tiffany Tanner Fellows.  She rocks...we've been friends forever...and it's great to have such a closeness...there have been years that we've not even talked but you wouldn't even notice we've gone a day without talking.  Christie has been sooo enjoyable...she is full of crap...still literally, but she's laughing and seems to become more interactive everyday...she's growing up and breaking out of a shell...seems like those neuropathways are getting stronger...wider...however you wanna understand it...she's grasping things and doing more things...and so my baby...is growing up and it's exciting...she's a year and a half...but she's been my little 4-6 month old for that long...and now she's growing up more...I will now pronounce her at a 7 month old stage.  She could possibly be 8 month...I am not the pro here so I'll stick to 7 just cuz!

Well, I love my Sydney...she's my little poop too...she's got issues...but she'll outgrow it and all will be well...Christie's Occupational Therapist said I should use the brush strokes on Sydney and joint compressions as well with her since she thinks Sydney may have sensory issues.  Sooo good to know...can't hurt to do that on her.  Sydney has this fettish of having clothes fit snugly around her.  We use ponytail holders or chip clips to snag her clothes tighter...it drives me insane...but I'd rather do that then deal with what happens if I don't....I know...show her who's the boss...but we choose our battles huh...and I choose not to fight her on this...sigh

well, I am going to get...wanna tidy up the place and enjoy a bit more sun before it goes down.  xoxoxoxo
