Hiccup

I've really been fighting a sinus infection...I know it is such due to the GREEN discharge...anyway, I have been on RELIV for almost a month and my body is detoxifying...so I haven't necessarily been super sick as much as I have been tired...and it hasn't helped that I fight getting a decent night sleep. I blame it on my desire to have the downtime while the kids are in bed. I realize now though that I don't think it's worth it! I think I could be over this by now...but am grateful that I am killing sickness with nutrition and feel pretty good about ridding my body of all the crap 33 years has piled on!
Christmas vacation for the girls started Friday the 19th after school let out...we planned on leaving for Florida Saturday morning...but...given I didn't get all I wanted to do done, I begged for 1 more day and so we finally left VA at 12:30pm on Sunday. We got a whole 3 hours away and barely crossed into North Carolina when we took a bathroom break...we had a stretch and ate a snack...once we got started to leave though the Suburban was reving...not moving gears like it should...we ended up exiting into a town called Roanoke Rapids and found a Chevy dealership, and of course it's a Sabbath so it's closed...as it should be...so we checked into the cheapest place...MOTEL 6...and early Mon. morn Mike took it in...sure enough it's the transmission...sooooo good ole Southern Hospitality here...they put us on the top of the list to get it done so we can HOPEFULLY be back on the road and to our destination that is still about 12 hrs away by Wednesday...we'll make it to the beach house by Christmas...even if it's celebrated in the evening instead of the morning. Our whole trip is Christmas celebration...and just being with family and enjoying eachother with no specific agenda except to just be chillin at the beach! We feel this is a blessing...our vehicle warranty expires Jan 29th 2009...so this repair and a rental....$free.99!!!! Mike did a little computer work for the dealership since this is redneckville here....and we got hooked up with a bigger rental car!
Super funny story...Mike found this bbq place that is supposed to be really good...he even got some locals that verified it's great food...a place called Ralphs...anyway, I being tired opted to stay at the motel with Christie and he and the rest of the girls went...he came back to tell me that the food there matches the smell and taste of our cheap motel room! The name of the restaurant fits what he felt like doing....RALPHING...it's okay though...he feels he tried authentic food and it's real great food to the locals...just not to him!
Well, it's time to close I am going to text Nicole happy bday...I'll be the first to let her know...at 12am her time!
