Worth of Souls

Doctrine and Covenants 18:10 "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;"
Cross reference worth and the word precious is brought up...in Isaiah 43:4!
I was asked by a friend and fellow ward member to give a little blurb on how dear motherhood is and how I view my baby...the unconditional love...and my friend and I talked briefly about this scripture...it's ironic how this scripture has entered my mind sporadically lately...
With all that I've read lately about tragedies that have afflicted so many people...whether sickness, natural disaster or by the hand of others...the only thing that I have to hold on to to give me some type of understanding is the Gospel! I understand the PLAN...what this life is all about...and I know that we chose to come to earth knowing that we'd face whatever and we'll...here we are...we are faced with pain and disasters and sickness...but we are also given love and experience joy beyond words. I just hope that I can be like Job in the scriptures when I am faced with trial beyond anything I can imagine...and I hope and pray for all those who are in the midst of suffering...our families prayers are with you! Our Heavenly Father knows each one of us...and LOVES each one of us...it doesn't matter what your financial status is or if you are hip with the latest fashion or live in a mansion or a hut...YOU MATTER! We are each beloved yes...BELOVED sons and daughters of GOD and our big brother JESUS suffered for our pains and sorrows so we wouldn't have to! We can find healing thru HIM and I have felt that power in my life. I know this to be true...and I am so sad that we have so many brothers and sisters in our world suffering but am uplifted by the amount of service and love being given to aid in the relief of others and hope and pray we all can do what we can each in our own unique way to serve and help those in need! One of my favorite scriptures is Mosiah 2: 17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
I tried teaching that to my girls and there's a funny story to that...but I'll try to tell it later!
Anyway, I am just trying to make sense of it all and this is where my thoughts led me and so I wanted to share.
Luv, luv
my love bug has come home and I am going to go snag some kisses!
