Early Intervention
Yesterday we went to the Early Intervention Evaluation with the county. It was great to learn what we can do to help Christie improve but disheartening that the system is overloaded and there aren't enough therapist to start assisting her now....and then some of the questions they asked were a little asinine (stupid - incase I am using asinine out of context) Anyway, they had gone over her evaluation and told us where she "rated" was roughly between 3-6months. Then asked "what would you like to see Christie doing?" I felt like being sarcastic and say "I'd like her to be able to do somersaults and gymnastics, swimming would be awesome too...but I just said I'd like her to be doing everything else a 10month old is doing! Duh?!?!? Seriously what kind of question is that? It's a small flaw in the grand scheme of things given they are helping, but I am going to pursue therapy outside of Early Intervention services since it's not like we're getting a deal going thru the county...I have some detective work to do! Anyway just bugs....

Hope you find a therapist and a good one:)
Good luck with the whole therapist thing! I hope you find a good one.
Amy--you and your family are so awesome! I admire the courage you have as you go through trials--you are such a rock! I think about you often and send my prayers/positive thoughts your way, that you will find the best help for your cute little girlie! Love ya!
I have had similar frustrations when I have had to go through the government for different child things too! I think they aren't used to people who have an actual education and can use words like asinine!!!
(not to insult those of you who have to use the government, but its just my own experience)
