"Is Christie Dead?"

Christie is alive and well....my sweet Jaimie said on the way to the sitters this morning "mom will you call me if Christie dies"...I told her she'll be just fine...then when I picked them up she and Kassidy asked "mom is Christie dead?"...I guess I didn't do a very good job at explaining to them what was happening today!

These are a few shots of Christie after her MRI...she did really well with the sedation and everything went smooth...(we were really nervous being that it can be really risky with sedation on an infant)...anyway, our eye doctor who ordered the MRI should get the results in a few days. Christie has an appointment on the 1st of July so we should know results for sure by then!!!
I perhaps failed to explain why Christie is getting an MRI...so for those who are wondering I am sorry and here is why: Christie's eyes cross...only rarely can she hold a normal look...anyway, when she was really young her pediatrician said "oh, it's a muscle thing she'll grow out of it." It wasn't until her 6 month check up that her doc said "time to see the eye doctor"...well...it was the timeframe from that and her eye doctor appointment that I began to be a bit worried that she wasn't sitting up or reaching out to hold and play with toys etc...so when we went to the eye doctor all concerns were brought up. The eye doc can fix her cross eyes with a simple procedure but since I briought up some concerns about her development he ordered the MRI to check for develpmental delay and something else with the eyes...and depending on those results will determine when she can have the surgery ...guess there is an issue I didn't really understand fully as to why but she would have to wait till she was older to fix the cross eyes if there is develpmental delay...anyway...we'll know more onthe 1st of July.
Special thanks to the Rebekah Losee and her family for taking care of Jaimie, Kassidy and Syd for 8+ hrs and for the fun they had...their favorite thing was painting the glass doors!!! And a special thanks to the Davidson's for giving us great directions and use of their GPS since Mike did make some wrong turns...we got to the Children's hospital right on time! We love you guys and truly feel blessed...Big THANKS to all my family and friends for their prayers and words of encouragement and love...I am so blessed!
