Jaimie's first Soccer game

Jaimie's first soccer game was today! Team Holly won 6 to 0! Our girls never had a practice (long story) and this was the first time they played together and they did amazing...as though they've practiced forever! I volunteered to be Coach (goes with long story about practice too...) hence name team HOLLY which I think we are going to change...but for now it's that and can I just say we had a blast. I didn't think it'd be that way (blast) and I prayed for rain (a cancelled game) but that didn't happen! Anyway we are going to have a great season...and I'll explain later about the whole set up that got me involved as coach!
Don't you love her toothless smile! Poor thing had to get two molars pulled and has a spacer attatched to the roof of her mouth and her back molars...so she has trouble speaking...lisp sounding...so cute...and then a few days later she lost her front tooth! Mike said it looks like she should be playing hockey instead of soccer!
Like my butt! This shot doesn't make it look tooo bad...I didn't put the pic in that did! Uh...It's a work in progress! ( I have noticed it's taking a better shape...round and not flat and lifted not sagging...so that's a bonus)
Jaimie sure did a great job having never played...all the girls did. I am just so pleased. Jaimie had an incident where she was kicked and fell...she recovered quickly...was a blast to watch...just picture what it'd be like to watch flies attatched to a moving piece of poop! (girls/ball) Hillarious!

okay...so to explain the whole soccer ordeal. I joined Jaimie in PWSI soccer at the end of February and the season stated it started April 5. At the beginning of March I received an email from PWSI that U7 girls (Jaimie's league) needed 3 coaches. I don't know anything about soccer but emailed back saying that I would BUT I have a baby and a 3 year old and don't know anything about the game. I received a quick reply basically telling me that that isn't a problem, they'll get me a student assistant who knows the game and would take care of the practices and games and I'd just be the adult manager. Then at the end of March I hadn't heard anything and was getting worried, and emailed PWSI about it and was told they were having trouble getting me an assistant and to be patient. I then got a phone call (just this Monday) from a coach of U19 girls, Tom, who said he'd be willing to help coach my U7 girls but wouldn't be able to be at the games. and we set up a practice for Thursday...which rained like crazy that day...so here was game day approaching with 9 girls, no practice, and no Tom, and me...coach with no experience. So weather said today would rain...I prayed game day would be cancelled...but today came, no rain and game was on. I started to freak! Mike and I quarreled a bit on the way to the game...I was able to relax and let it be what it was going to be...and rely on parents who's girls had played last year. Sure enough...Patti, who has twin girls who played last year took over and yippeee dam skippee the game was a blast and we won! Patti is now going to be my co-coach...I really am going to be the work behind it all, emails etc...Tom will guide the practices...he's the experience behind it all and Patti will be there to lead our girls on the field at game day! Mike won't be able to make it to some games and I need to take care of Christie and Sydney! So it's all worked out even though the start of it all has been pretty rocky with PWSI dropping the ball on our team...but oh well, we have a great team and we are going to have a great season! GO TEAM HOLLY!
