week 2 update
Christie is now 2 1/2 weeks old. On Monday she had her 2 week checkup and she weighed 8 lbs and is 21 inches long. She is doing really well eating and sleeping and never complains unless she is hungry! Well, she doesn't like to be undressed either...but she's done fussing when she's done being dressed! She burps like her daddy and poops and pees all the time!!!
Had to take a picture of her tiny hiny and notice the patch of hair!?!? It's there and on her head!!! She'll hate me for that later heh!?!?! Had to throw my hand in there for size...she's got such a little body! She seems chunky with those cheeks of hers but she's so itty bitty still!
Sydney wanted "her turn" breastfeeding the other day. I tell her when I'm feeding Christie that she has to wait (for whatever it may be at the time) till Christie is done with "dinner" and the other night she opened her mouth and said "uh, my turn" it was so funny to me...so I thought she wouldn't really do it if offered but she did...and she didn't know what to do with it...and it wierded me out...but it was funny. Today Sydney put her hand over my mouth and said in a pretty freaky/scary way "quiet" over and over...made me laugh but also made me feel a tiny bit scared by the way she looked at me and the way she said "quiet"!
Kassidy was sick all last week with a fever. Thankfully it ended with no other symptoms then her fever and a small cough! The picture of her and Sydney is when we took Kassidy to the doctor on the 18th.
Mike is doing well and is going to be going to school to become a CFM....a certified facilities manager. So when he's done he'll be Mike Holly CFM...yippee for him...means networking for him and hopefully a higher raise!?!?!
I am doing well...can't complain...I am feeling healed and need to really get with working out...GENA, HELP ME! (Gena is my friend who's the fitness queen)...I nap with the girls and just do the housewife thing. I am thankful I get to do that...considering all the moms who cannot especially here in VA...the cost of living is high that the majority of moms have to work. I was getting my tooth implant and the ladies at the dental office told me how lucky I was and to thank my hubby that I get to be a stay-at-home mom! I always felt thankful but to see how happy they were for me was neat! Oh, I was called to be the new Primay Secretary in our ward. I didn't know if I said that yet...so once I get back to church I'll start that! I usually stay out of public places with my newborns for about a month!
Well, don't want to leave out Jaimie...she's my drama queen. She definitely tests Mike and my limits. (is that correct english grammer "Mike and my"?) sounds wierd...anyway...she is so much like me...first born, bossy, etc....she's a tenderheart too...thinks too much about stuff, and I love it, hate it...but what to do...that's her! We had fun watching WINDWALKER...an old Blaine Yorganson movie...she and I cried...so love it!
Well, that's it for updates...I'll try to post them every week or so...xoxoxo
